This research expedition occurred prior to the formal establishment of the Living Oceans Foundation.  It could be said that this survey was the genesis of the Living Oceans Foundation.  The research in Tahiti followed on the heelof a very severe El Nino ocean warming event that alarmed scientists around the world.   Many significant findings resulted from this research.  Review the scientific journal articles below to learn more:
